CTC # 96 - 'BIG SHOT'

Hello Stampers!

This week on CASEing the Catty challenge we are looking at the Holiday Catalogue on Pages 9-11 using the Big Shot. I don't know about you but my all time favourite product is the Big Shot, I would be lost with out it! There are some wonderful new products in the Holiday Catalogue using the Big Shot. For this challenge I have got my inspiration from the card on Page 10 using the 'Banners for Christmas' Stamp set and the coordinating 'Bunch of Banners' Framelits Dies, pictured below.

For my CASE I have gone for a different colour theme and a slight change in design from the original in the catalogue. For my first card I have used a Whisper White Card base 5 x 5 inches, 2nd layer is Crumb Cake 4 3/4 x 4 3/4, next I have flicked Whisper White Pigment ink onto the cardstock and then used a Aqua Painter with Crumb Cake ink to paint a darker layer behind the Mistletoe Stamp. I have used Versamark and White Embossing Powder for all the stamping. I have used the Aqua Painter again to add some colour to the mistletoe stamp by colouring in the berries and leaves with real red and old olive ink pads. Some red ribbon to finish off.

For my second CASE I have used basically the same layout as the first card but added an extra layer of Copper Foil Paper. I have embossed the stamp with Copper Foil Embossing Powder and embossed the black layer using the Holly Embossing Folder.

Well that's me all done and dusted, now it is time to hop along to Kathryn's Blog,
she is bound to have something amazing to show us.

Hopefully we have given you some inspiration on the hop to join us in the challenge, just click on the link below.

Happy Stamping!

  4. Deb these are so different but both beautiful. The black embossed background is so effective against the copper. Very talented!

  5. Love both your samples, Deb. Love all the details on the Crumb Cake card, but the copper is so rich.

  6. Verry elegant and beautiful. The copper foils looks awesome, but I'm a total sucker for Crumb Cake - both of your cards are spectacular, but that's my favourite.
